This Privacy Policy explains how VoyagX collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. VoyagX is a social travel platform, not a travel agency. The App allows users to create Troupes, meet other travelers, share content, and view third-party travel experiences.


2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

You may provide:

  • Email address

  • Username

  • Password

  • Profile photo

  • Bio details

  • Troupe posts and comments

  • Photos you upload

  • Messages within Troupes

Optional Identity Verification

If you choose to verify your identity, you must provide:

  • A selfie

  • A government-issued ID (passport, license, national ID)

These documents are used only to confirm identity.


2.2 Information Collected Automatically

We may collect:

  • Device type and operating system

  • IP address

  • Interaction data (buttons clicked, screens visited)

  • Approximate or precise location (ONLY with your permission)

Location is used for:

  • Showing relevant Troupes

  • Improving app content recommendations

  • Enhancing travel discovery features

You may disable location access at any time.


3. Third-Party Bookings (Viator)

VoyagX integrates with Viator, a third-party travel experiences provider.

When you view or book an experience:

  • You are redirected to Viator.com inside an in-app browser

  • All transactions are completed directly with Viator

  • VoyagX does not collect:

    • Payment information

    • Booking numbers

    • Traveler details entered on Viator

All bookings are governed solely by Viator’s Terms and Privacy Policy.


4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate and maintain VoyagX

  • Create your account and profile

  • Enable social features (Troupes, posts, comments)

  • Improve app functionality

  • Provide customer support

  • Enforce safety and community rules

  • Enable optional identity verification

  • Send push notifications (you can opt out)

We do NOT sell your personal information.


5. Sharing of Information

We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, cloud storage)

  • Verification partners (only for ID checks)

  • Legal authorities when required

We do not sell or rent your personal information.


6. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to:

  • Maintain user accounts

  • Fulfill app functionality

  • Meet legal obligations

  • Prevent fraud

You may request account deletion at any time.
Some data may be retained for fraud prevention or security.


7. Security

However, no system is 100% secure. Use the App at your own risk.


8. Children’s Privacy

VoyagX is not intended for children under 18.
Accounts will be deleted if we discover one was created by a minor under this age.

REFUND POLICY

1. Viator Travel Experiences

All travel experiences shown in VoyagX originate from Viator and other travel providers.

When booking:

  • You complete the purchase on Viator.com, not VoyagX

  • Viator handles all payments, refunds, cancellations, and booking details

VoyagX CANNOT:

  • Cancel bookings

  • Modify reservations

  • Change traveler details

  • Access payment information

  • Issue refunds

  • Resolve disputes related to Viator purchases

All financial matters must be handled directly through Viator support.


2. App Subscriptions (If and When They Launch)

If VoyagX offers premium subscription features in the future:

  • Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play

  • VoyagX does not bill users directly

  • Refunds must be requested via Apple or Google

  • Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled via your device settings

  • VoyagX cannot manually issue subscription refunds


3. Social Features

Troupes, posting, profile creation, and community features are free.

Refunds do not apply to:

  • Troupe creation

  • Troupe joining

  • Social interactions

  • Optional profile enhancements

  • Identity verification processes


4. Technical Issues

App bugs, crashes, or feature malfunctions do not qualify for refunds.

5. Fraud or Unauthorized Charges

If you believe:

  • A Viator charge is fraudulent → contact Viator + your bank

  • An App Store/Play Store charge is fraudulent → contact Apple or Google

VoyagX cannot intervene in third-party financial disputes.


6. Changes to This Refund Policy

Updates may occur at any time. Continued use of the App means you agree to the latest version.
